For this episode I talked to Allegra who is studying Opticianry (or how to be a pharmacist for your eye). She tells us why we should not buy glasses online, why math is our friend, and how there's a lot more to glasses and vision than you might think. Allegra tells me that Opticianry is very close to being a STEM field.

For the first episode back, I talk to my friend Karen who does Theatrical Design, Scenic Art and Technician Work, primarily in theatre. We talk about what her work is like, how to get into it, to retire or not to retire in theatre, how social media plays a role in the theatre world and getting reviews for your show, finding shows, intersectionality in theatre, how to get a script to the stage and her advice for other women who are interested in this sort of work.
