Mara has a BA in Linguistics (the scientific study of language) and we talk about just that! the quirks (and similarities) of different languages, the history of language and even typography, what it's like to learn a new language and of course, hollywood's representation of dealing with people who don't speak English well

It’s that time again! Mara is back for the second half of our marathon podcasting session. Last time we talked Roller Derby (that episode should be available again very soon), this time we talk language. I have to say honestly this has been one of the most fun shows I’ve done. It was a perfect mixture of me already having a decent knowledge base to inform my comments and questions, but still learning several things in the process.
Mara has a BA in Linguistics, I just read alot.
